hello world!

Hidrex Iontophorese mit VPS-Puls

Hidrex ConnectION mit variabler und ClassicION mit festem Pulswert

Much has already been written about whether it is better to go straight for a Hidrex VPS iontophoresis device and not compromise on the setting options.

Variable pulse values offer the possibility of adjusting the pulse rate to the thickness of the skin and the skin condition.

Hidrex ClassicION: Fixed pulse / switchover to direct current possible

Hidrex ConnectION: VPS - variable pulse in 5 steps/switching to direct current possible

You can read how best to set this under: Perfect pulse widths - iontophoresis

Iontophoresis and pulse width, what's that supposed to be?

The pulse width determines how long the power is on and off in a time interval

Let's take a minute clock and a light switch: At the beginning of each minute you press the switch and leave the light on for 30 seconds. Then they turn the light off again until the next bar. Here we would have a pulse width of 50%.

Same minute cycle, but we leave the light on for 54 seconds: result, a pulse width of 90%

It follows that with a 100 watt bulb we used 50 watts after one hour in the first case, and 90 watts in the second case.

In the second case - to reach 50 watts - the light switch would have to be operated 80% shorter.

So more power in less time. And that is exactly the idea behind the pulse width adjustment in the field of iontophoresis: Introduce the same dose in a shorter time without completely forgoing the comfort of the pulse current, which is the case when you switch up to 100%. → Reading tip: Pulsed current better than direct current?

To say in general that VPS is absolutely necessary is not correct, there are cases in which VPS does not play a major role, then when you "only" want to treat thin skin.
