The DE20 is a battery-operated iontophoresis device. It's the perfect companion for those who wish to take their iontophoresis device on travels or who want to operate it independently from a power outlet. (Important: medical power supplies are safe for use even at home. Their safety features guarantee that the voltage stays consistently at low, limited levels.)
Despite these safety features, some users prefer a battery-operated device for their own personal comfort.
All our non-battery operated devices are equipped with an approved medical power supply. Thus, they are completely safe to use.
The choice between a battery-operated iontophoresis device and a wall-powered iontophoresis device depends on the user's personal preference.
The advantages are obvious:
If you're unsure using a wall-powered iontophoresis device, you should choose one that operates on batteries!
The disadvantages are equally evident:
At times, it may be impossible to conduct a treatment due to dead batteries. Don't forget to recharge! Once completely charged, the device can be used approximately 10 times. Therefore, a power outlet is still needed in between treatment sessions - unless you use normal one-way batteries. However, these cannot compare to the power and capacity of the device's rechargeable batteries.
The AAM is battery-operated and must be recharged using the approved medical power supply.
DE AAM DE20 can be operated in a pulsed current mode of 50% or a direct current mode of 100 %. These settings are comparable to those of the Hidrex ClassicION.
The duration of the therapy is restricted to 20 minutes. In most cases, this time period will be sufficient. Should you want to prolong the therapy, you can switch the device off and on again for a moment.
For the treatment of the hands, the device can be placed on the floor and the settings can be regulated by adjusting the power button with one foot. During the therapy session, the current can thus be raised or lowered without removing the hands from the treatment tubs.
TOP TECHNICAL DETAIL:
The DE20 shows the actual current value in mA. This allows insights into the total body resistance during full operation.
Should problems occur, it is then possible to tell whether the fault lies with the entire iontophoresis system, the iontophoresis setup, or the treatment itself.

How to treat sweaty hands and feet
- For the treatment of hands or feet, simply open the case and use it as treatment tubs. For the simultaneous treatment of hands and feet, the case can be split into two halves.
- Large electrodes are placed into the tubs and supply an evenly distributed current
- Depending on your selection, the electrodes are covered with a sponge cloth (for silicone electrodes).
